The Dragon Below is a trilogy of books (The Binding Stone, The Grieving Tree and The Killing Song), based in the Eberron continent of Khorvair.

The story revolves around 3 main characters, Dandra a Kalashtar, Geth a Shifter and 'Singe' the Human wizard, together they attempt to foil the plans of the Evil Dah'Mir a powerful follower of Khyber the dragon below (for who the series is named after).

I enjoyed the series, the story was well paced and the characters likable, my only real gripe with the books was that they really should have been proof read before they were sent to press as the amount of spelling errors and grammatical omissions made me skip a few paragraphs here and there.

As an introduction to Eberron it works quite well, although most of the books do not actually take place in the major cities of the continent there is a great deal of reference to the great houses and other political institutions in Eberron which sets the tone of the continent nicely.

I would recommend the books to all, especially if you can forgive the spelling errors Smile
