| As well as my forays into RP design with the Shadows of Midnight, I have been exploring the concept of using the D20 mechanics system in a science fiction setting. Whilst trawling the internet for a suitable system I came across The d20 future system by Wizards of the coast, then I noticed another thread to a Warhammer 40,000 version. The System has been licenced by Wizards for release into the public domain and is downloadable as an 865 page document from the Geo cities site. However the licence dictates that there can be no description of character generation process or the process used to apply character experience. I have found that it was an easy matter to port over the experience system from D&D v3.5. All the character generation details for characters are supplied but they have had to leave out the step by step guide to generating characters as stipulated by the licence, so a certain amount of experience with the d20 system is needed. Has anyone out there had any experience playing this system, I have yet to assemble a group to try this out. |

| That sounds like it would be interesting to look into. Do you have a link to the document? |

Hi JJR, welcome to the forum.
I believe the link that Adi showed me was this: http://www.geocities.com/skrittiblak/.
Please let me know if I have provided the wrong link.
The site can be used indtead of the PDF document, and I personally prefer to read the information on the site as it is better indexed and referenced.
Hope this helps. |
